im sorry. but i cant really provide my raw ranks/marks atm cos i'm not at home. i might come edit it later.

but for now, cos i need a rough estimate real fast so i know where i stand...

this is the info i can provide..

i go to hornsby girls. HELLO HORNSBY!!
which is the 2nd school in the state..

but my ranks arnt that great at the moment..

bottom half for most subjects..

im getting so desperate now. ARHGHHH!!! ahahha=) i'm so sorry for the lack of info. i'll try and get my ranks and marks up asap. but if you guys could work with the info currently provided for now.

oh OH! and i'll write up the subjects i do.

eng advanced, maths, maths ext1, ancient hist, society and culture, legal studies...

how much does your rank within ur school effect your UAI at the end. i mean. if you did really crap at school and then did ok in the hsc, would your school marks pull u down heaps?

Okay, well my school was ranked 10th last year, and half the year got a UAI over 90, a third got over 95... So considering you've said you're going mediocre in terms of rankings and your school is ranked 2nd, I'm gonna guess around 90-95? But it depends how far into the "bottom half" you're talking. Do you know any statistics on how students go at your school, in terms of % over 90, 95 etc?

i think its usually about more than 65% of the grade gets a UAI over 90.

we're 2nd at the moment.
we were 4th for the 2 years before that.
but i think we've been top 10 for a while now..

what the.... my school is ranked below yours and 75% of the grades get >90 UAI. if you're around average at your school you should definitely, defintely get over 90.

my school came 6th last year...kinda bad for us, apparantly. anyway, the top 140 boys got over 90 UAI (thats out of about 175 kids)

LOL 65% of hornsby girls get over uai 90? no way man. its second in the state. more like at least 80% will get a uai over 95.

man my school is like 300th or some shit in the state and last year 30% got over 90

Dude, I go to Baulko, and we are told that we are ranked 2nd, but maybe they're telling us lies. Anyway, 50% of our school gets about 97, so if your school is ranked higher than ours, or about equal... then you'll do fine.
