is retina even worth it? thinking of getting a good 16 gb ram macbook pro later on but dont know whether retina display is just some made-up advertising crap or actually good.
pschfff i had to get it with my own money and i dont even work. I got it with the entire Adobe Creative Suite 6 for 500 bucks so i think thats a pretty good deal. CS6 by itself is something like $1500+ depending on what package you get.
IIRC the student versions of Adobe software are much cheaper.
Really You could get away without buying a computer for your whole degree, even I could and I am a cs major. There are plenty of computers in the CSE building all you have to do is book a time
You'll find that pen and paper are still more versitile for many degrees (myself doing a comm degree, found that pen and paper just work better then laptops or tablets, though i carry tablet just incase).
