Labour Market Trends in relation to wages (1 Viewer)

I have to write an essay on the question below:

Outline recent labour market trends and analyse how labour market institutions determine wages.

I'm not really sure what the question is asking in the first place.

I believe it's asking for me to outline either one or more recent labour trends such as unemployment, casualisation and outsourcing. Then it asks how these trends help determine wage rates.

I don't know if these are the requirements for the question but if they are, then I could assume that case studies would be useful.
What are some useful & recent statistics that I could use for the above question?
Also, what are labour market institutions?

I'm looking forward to writing this essay, but getting started is the hardest bit for me :/
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

doing similar assessement, but more talking about effect of trends on labour market...

the trends we are looking at are unemployment, part time work, casualisation, outsourcing, sub contracting and individual contracts.

theyre some trends to look at, but im not sure what the effect on wages is
