hey, not sure if this thread has been done before but our year 12 jerseys are being ordered and i was just wondering what other people are having on the backs of theirs... i.e. funny nicknames, play on real names etc.

yeah ours is from Cantebury... $80.. except we did a vote for design and all the people who didnt get the one they wanted did a petition...

most jerseys i know are done by canterbury.

we didnt get to choose what was on the back of ours coz the year before us got really inappropriate stuff (aparently) so they wanted us all to have "class of" on our backs. i wrote up a petition and got about 130 signatures in a day in protest, (anyone from my school will know who i am now)

then people started yelling at the deputy in assembally, she changed her mind and said we could have one of four options, which is better than "class of"

also we werent allowed our last names for "legal reasons" which sucked coz my last name is my nickname anyway.

what did other schools do for cencorship of nicknames? (if anything)

People at my school are good, our principal trusts us, and we've never had problems in the past, so all clear for us.

i think our principal couldnt be bothered going through 180 students nicknames to decide whether they were appropriate or not. and i dont see why my last name is inappropriate.

unfourtunatly our school doesnt trust our grade, we are the forgotten year (we're thinking it should be our yr 12 grad theme song... the forgotten year)

and by the way, almost anything could be turned into a sexual connotation of somesort... its so stupid.

I don't know if anyone's actually organising our jerseys. A year ago, I would have put my hand straight up, but I've just gotten apathetic about it over the past year. I don't really care for two dozen people all complaining about a friggin' colour scheme. So I'll just sit tight and wait and make up something to put on the back.
