Just putting this out there...
(Extreme) drop crotch jeans by Soulful Commandoe.
Tapered like skinny jeans around the ankle and calves, baggy and saggy around the ass and thighs, though not 'normal' as OP requested.

Fortunately, I have never seen or heard of them being stocked in Australia, and I'm not sure if they even continued making them.

Jesus.

ahaha, i think i have the same sort of body shape as you.
Recently i bought a pair of Acne jeans which have a wider thigh but a tapered (it becomes slimmer at the bottom) leg. In response to what other people have said about a lower rise and stuff, it doesn't necessarily mean a looser thigh.

A lot of brands usually have a pair where the jeans are loose/normal at the top and have a tapered leg.
These are the jeans I bought

Ummm... there's an Australian brand of denim that makes really good jeans
They're called Imperial Jeans and the model that you would be after is called 'Shearers'
The shop, "Halfsleeve" in Sydney stocks them and i think they are the only stockist in Sydney.

There's heaps of brands that stock these sort of jeans. Basically, what you're after is a regular fit with a tapered leg.

Depends on how you wear it i guess and another reason why i got that pair is because i have big thighs so yeah, skinnies are a no in general and same for baggy jeans. I also prefer a smaller leg opening and looser top as it provides better comfort and mobility.
The taper isn't that strong on my jeans so it doesn't look bad.

Mind you, i also wish i had the money to buy a pair of Imperials XD
The only reason why i have a pair of Acne's is because i got them off a guy off ebay who gave them to me for $100 posted within Sydney. Was so stoked at the bargain i got.

i have treetrunks for thighs too (from many years of rugby) - but i still feel and look good in slim/skinny (so long they arent skin tight) jeans. different needs i guess.

were those acnes from overseas (the mashina vremeni guy?) - they sell acnes for 90-110.

i don't know whether i should save for imperials or apcs. chronicles of never end of season sale this week for anyone whos interested - you can pick up something nice for less than a 100, but their jeans fit skinny as.
