Just a random question, do any of you Jamie Cullum followers like Micheal Buble?

Yeah, he is excellent, probably has a stronger voice than Jaime, but I think Jaime is probably a little closer to rock than Buble, with his cover of "the wind cries mary" etc

maybe like the original jazz stuff, harry connick jr, joss stone and 15 year old australian eran james, i guess. there's like a jamie forum:
www.pointlessnostalgic.co.uk
if you get really obsessed.
he's recording his new album in january and plans to tour in june.
i'm so happy there are so many jamie cullum fans!!!

and to absolution* get over your hate of jamie cullum....
All of them are really really good, got all their albums except for Harry Connick Jnr (thats not to say I dont like his work). I had no idea he was half burmese til Ch7 televised his concert at the Blenheim Palace, but they cut bits out, so it doesnt compare to the DVD (must get it), or the real thing... fingers crossed about those plans (in October 04 they said Joss Stone was touring Aus in january...?)

On that note, anyone for Alicia Keys?
Who went to her concert in October 04?
...I did... :p

i think he is a bit of a sellout...i saw him on the Panel and he said he didnt really like jazz, but played it to get money....to me, that sucks.
Try some other jazz vocalists...sarah vaughn, ella, billie etc.
Vince Jones you would LOVE!
And maybe Katie Noonan's band "Elixir"

Yeah, he's pretty spiffy. Bought his CD and DVD while I was over in London last month.

I like his music. I don't understand why they labelled him "Sinatra in sneakers" - he sounds absolutely nothing like Sinatra. I love Sinatra.

I personally can't stand John Mayer. The way his mouth goes and the faces he pulls when he performs, I find repulsing.

 are you serious? played it to get money... fuck him!
hes one of those people who plays jazz caus it makes him look good/cool... *shame!*

either way, he gets way pawned by other good Jazz vocalists, like Demosthenes said: Sara Vaughn, Ella, billie holiday, Mary lou williams, Chris connor, Joe williams, nat king cole, sinatra. etc...

are you sure he said that?

or if he was just joking around?

because jazz isn't entirely mainstream on the charts...

jamie cullum is bloody excellent....one of my favourite songs that he's done was a cover of the song "Love Cats" that he did with Katie Melua...it's bloody awesome....

and oh yeah other good artists as mentioned beforehand are:
John Mayer
Michael Buble (this one's a bit iffy, but he's got some good ones)
Joss Stone
Harry Connick Jr.
Frank Sinatra
Eran James ( "I Get Lifted" is an excellent song)

and that's just a couple that were mentioned before that i remembererd off the top off my head...there are others, but these guys and gal are excellent.
