Ok so I gather.. from other posts..UTS has the best facilities and courses if you want to go into Computer Science/Computer Engineering?
But what if it gets too competitive there, and we're stuck with a letter saying "Thankyou for showing interest in UTS, Unfortunately you have not been accepted because, 1. No spaces are vacant or 2. Our UAI cut off's are so high that only genious' make it in"...
now what would u do in a case like this?

I obviously want to make it into a university to study a course in this field, but one that does not require so much maths..
(some courses flood u in mathematics)

What courses/ideas/universities would u guys suggest?

PLZ help! :(

If you don't want 2 much maths, Comp Scienence is probably the way 2 go. Anything engineering will have a shitload of maths and physics. I looked at one of the software engineering courses and the first year is all maths and physics, with 2 unit of computing.

University of Wollongong is the place to go. As you all know by now, it was ranked no. 1 in Australia for preparing students for the e-world, and 2nd overall.

Therefore, you should go for a B Information Science and Tech, or B Internet Engineering, which is a brand new course, and it is the only one of its kind in Australia.

actually, there is quite alot of maths in comp science. probbaly not as much as engineering, but it can get a bit tedious.
the comp science equivalent at UTS (B.Sc InfoTech) , the course im doing, has no maths watsoever. Engineering at UTS... well.. its compulsory to do maths and physics during your first year, so u gotta live with it.

Engy at UTS there is a subject called Maths Modelling which all Engy students must do...

Basically Maths Modelling would require you to know more than just the typical 4 unit maths.

anything with engineering in its name means some form of engineering is involved which is phy, math, chem etc

the uts course req no math as math is NOT a prerequesite in the IT world as many would have u belive

go with unsw if u want an old style course
usyd for old style course if u cant get into uts
