Israel has now stated that they will start bombing hospitals they think are treating terrorists. I can't believe that they are just getting away with this.

I'll try and find one, I heard it off a TV interview.

Edit:
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3648020,00.html

That's the closest thing I can find but that's not what I was referring to. I heard the report just a couple hours ago and that link is a few days old. And the report I heard said that Israel was ready to attack hospitals they suspected whereas the article just says that gunmen are taking refuge in hospitals. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose.

After 10 days of intense fighting, I don't think the Air Force is recognising the difference between military and civilian targets anymore. Surely they must have run out of Hamas targets by now. Anyway, the death toll statistic for Monday indicates so.

Until then, lets run with how many terrorist groups, terrorist training camps and terrorists willing to die for the "cause" are in the Middle East. You're going to tell me that it wouldn't be positive if all these people were wiped off the map?

Oh right. Israel is the evil one. Must fight them with esploding 12 year olds and esploding mentally disabled teens. GG TERRORISM. YOU HAVE ISRAEL ON THE ROPES NOW!
Once again, look at the statistics, you stupid fat fuck. Israel is worse.

So like, how many Israelis have been killed by Arab terrorists in the past 20 years? How many buildings and whatever have Arab terrorists razed in that same timeframe. Now compare it to Israel.

You can't win.

The Israelis are not trying to stamp out terrorism, Exphate. If this were the case they, and the Americans would walk right into Saudi Arabia and Pakistan where the majority of the most extreme ones come from/get trained. Wake up. Israel is simply killing a shitload of people to provide itself with a minute increase in security.

And the terrorist threat in the Mid East is very small anyway. More people die from car accidents per year. I therefore support devoting billions of dollars to stamping out this DANGEROUS threat.

OPERATION "CAST LEAD" GETS UNDERWAY – 27 DECEMBER 08

1. 1. Hamas unilaterally suspended the Egyptian-brokered truce with Israel, launching hundreds of rockets at civilian targets in southern Israel over the past week. Israel has exercised maximum restraint, but – after eight years of missile barrages from Gaza – must come to the defense of the 250,000 Israelis living within range of Hamas attack. Any other sovereign nation would do the same.

2. 2. Under cover of the truce, Hamas engaged in a major campaign to upgrade its terrorist capabilities, manufacturing and smuggling massive quantities of weapons into Gaza – including rockets, explosive charges and machine guns – and constructing a network of underground tunnels for combat purposes. Israel cannot acquiesce to the presence of a Hizballah-like organization on its southern border.

3. 3. The objective of the IDF operation is to cripple the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza, impairing the ability of Hamas and its allies to launch attacks on the citizens of Israel; IDF action would have been unnecessary had Hamas abandoned the path of terror. Israel is engaged in self-defense, and will respond assertively to any provocation by other parties in the region.

4. 4. Hamas belongs to the "A" League of extremism, alongside Iran, Syria, Al Qaida and Hizballah. Many countries have designated Hamas a terrorist organization and will not engage in any contact with its representatives. Israel expects the international community to lend its support to the war on Hamas terror.

5. 5. Israel has done everything possible to avert any humanitarian crisis in Gaza, allowing for the regular entry of supplies and international aid. In fact, just last week, it was Hamas that acted to prevent the delivery of humanitarian assistance from Egypt.

6. 6. While the IDF takes pains to direct its activities exclusively against terrorists, Hamas callously places Palestinian civilians in harm's way – positioning its forces inside schools and houses of worship, and launching attacks from crowded areas. The unintentional injury of any civilians in Gaza is the sole responsibility of Hamas.

7. 7. Hamas objections notwithstanding, the Government of Israel will continue its pursuit of peace with the Palestinian people, led by President Abbas and Prime Minister Fayyad. Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005 precisely to further this goal, but Hamas seized control of Gaza, turning the area into a launch pad for terrorism against Israel.

ISRAEL AUTHORIZES EXPANSION OF "CAST LEAD" – 3 JANUARY 09

1. "Cast Lead" has dealt Hamas a severe blow: hundreds of terrorists killed, dozens of headquarters and ammunitions dumps destroyed, tunnels collapsed, capability to manufacture weapons impaired. Hamas leaders have abandoned the civilian population of Gaza, leaving them to fend for themselves.

2. Hamas still maintains the capacity and will to engage in terrorism. With Iranian assistance, Hamas has extended the reach of its missile strikes to threaten close to one million Israelis. And by using mosques, other public institutions and even private homes as arsenals and bases of operation, Hamas has effectively taken the Palestinians of Gaza hostage – cowardly using them as human shields. (Notwithstanding, an estimated 88% of those killed during "Cast Lead" have been bona fide combatants.)

3. Israel must persist in order to achieve its stated objectives: to significantly disable the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas and produce lasting change in the security predicament affecting residents of southern Israel. No sovereign nation would tolerate the daily targeting of its people. For this reason, the Government has authorized the expansion of "Cast Lead" – including the entry of armored and infantry forces, and the call-up of reserves, for the possible intensification of the campaign.

4. While Israel has no intention of governing Gaza, Operation "Cast Lead" must continue for the time being as the IDF acts to gain control over areas from which rockets are being launched on Israeli towns. At the same time, Israel remains in dialogue with the international community in order to achieve its goals.

5. Israel was forced to take action after all attempts – over many years – to bring an end to terror attacks from Gaza were unsuccessful. Hamas abused its truce with Israel not only to keep firing missiles against the civilian population, but also to stockpile weapons and prepare for a confrontation with the IDF. Still, Israel is not an enemy of the Palestinian residents in Gaza: 400 trucks of humanitarian aid and 10 ambulances were allowed passage into Gaza this week; this assistance will continue. In point of fact, there is no humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Yes, and companies invest millions into improving safety features in cars. Governments spend millions by improving the condition of roads. However, by driving a car, people are taking on the risk of a potential accident. People don't take on the risk of being killed by a terrorist.

And Israel is trying to stamp out terrorism in the areas where it is placed under the most risk. Pakistan won't nuke Israel. Well, it's unlikely to anyway. Palestinian groups are likely to keep sending out terrorists to Israel to hurt innocent civilians.

there has never been such surgical precision with air strikes during a war like that which is going on in Israel and gaza. Gaza is the third most densely populated place on earth and seeing as Israel has done more air strikes than the number of people dead, that says something about there operation, they are not there to start a humanitarian crisis and there isn't one.

 • Israel is under a shower of Kassam rockets attack, but this fact do not stop us from forwarding the Gaza strip humanitarian aid on a daily bases.......
 • Israel supply's the Gaza strip with its main source of electricity, coming from a power station in Ashkelon. The fact that the Hammas shooting rockets constantly towards Ashkelon (Including toward the power station area) do not stop Israel from keeping the Gaza strip power stations from working......
 • Israel keeps the Gaza border gateways open, although the Hammas bombing the Gateways non stop......
 • Palestinians from Gaza who got wounded in an explosion due to disfunction of Kassam rockets before launching - are treated in Israeli hospitals by Israeli doctors and nurse's......

there's a difference between rockets that are fired randomly and land in an empty field and a rocket that is fired at a 8 story hamas building with zero casualties resulting

Forever Israel.
EDIT: The poor wounded Palestinians HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN the situation where they were living. It's almost to be expected.
