I know USYD is renowend for its commerce degree.. but in terms of their overall reputation of all their business degree's compared to Macqaurie .. im assuming Macquarie wins hands down... people think that USYD is better just because of its prestigousness and its location .. whereas macquarie is a lil far and isnt as prestigous..

am i right or no?

its just i cant choose between Economic and Social Sicences at USYD or International Busniess at MACQ.. ?? i know they are different but yeah.. im lost

Most ppl i've asked have said UNSW has the best Commerce degree - that's one of the main reasons I went.

But if you're looking for a good social life at Uni, unless you're azn, don't come to UNSW (sounds racist, but i'm not trying to be - just bein realistic). USYD has a pretty good Comm degree and the social aspect is supposed to be really good.

maybe the way for you to decide on which is better is to look at the course structure one that will suit the major you want to study. Also if you want more flexibility in your degree try to find the degree that allows you to pick more electives. Also, see what you will study in both usually it is relatively the same just different names for the units/subjects

oh and in terms of an actual 'business' course, a BBA, maq is the way to go.

because they told you they are better???

seeing as though i haven't been taught by the USYD ir/hrm staff i can't really comment, but compare to my other tutors and lecturers, the hrm ppl at MQ are awesome

anyways the take home message ppl, is if you want to do HRM you should be going to MQ :D

because look at the names of the staff. look at the publications they release.

on a side note, across all unis, for some reason, ir/hrm lecturers and tutors seem to be legends.
