To however made the comment on self-worth/genius, the statement I made was a bit extreme - prolly a by-product of stress. However, the comment that you won't get into a discussion with a 'first year' about (important) matters like that is kinda dodgy mate. I don't think you can take the stance that age/uni year = intelligence or a higher philosophical position on that. Not saying that is what you were doing, and I don't wana fight.

As a person, who couldn't exhibit enough responsibility to understand the correlation between a simple instruction to get out of a lab, based upon clearly visible rules and regulations, THEN complaining about how you have been kicked out of the said premises, no I wouldn't consider you anywhere near a genius or responsible.

As for your point about this 'perceived' concept of intelligence = years, you've totally missed the point, I said I don't want to entertain thoughts of such discussion because frankly, I don't find them all that useful, much in the same way as a UAI doesnt indicate smarts. Now as for the self-proclaimed 'genius' keystroke, I believe you need to take a good look at what I DO consider as being a product of age and experience, maturity.

You want to debate metaphysics, I'd be more than happy to entertain them, you want to talk about maturity and the correlation of experience, again I shall entertain them, if you want to talk like you're some sort of exception to what was obviously a joke, and all the while find offence at being called a 'silly first year' for what is obviously a fault of your own, then don't claim you're suddenly some sort of superhuman genius.

LOL you must've been pov... i'de never buy a coffee from a vending machine (Actually are we talking about the coffee machine in macq theatre, where's the byte??)!

It probably hasn't been cleaned in like 12 years or something... i made the mistake of buying a coffee in my first from the mac theatre machine and it was horribly gross

well i was particularly pov and particularly cold so my initial hesitance at vending machine coffee was outweighed, but there was like 4 coins stuck in there blocking mine! THEN i couldn't even get mine out... The Byte is like on the way to the library opposite the SAM building...
