My daugther is thinking of dropping 4U maths after getting her first assessment mark of 75%.
The avg was 65% and the school is ranked in top 5.
I 'm thinking of advising her not to drop it but it is taking up a lot of her time. Thanks for looking.

4u 75% is amazing, let her continue it and support her all the way, the final years of senior study are the most crucial and open up or close the pathways for life. If she carries on consistent effort results will pay off making you and your daughter proud.

She should keep it. A 75% in the first test is still very good, especially in a top 5 school.

Also, the average result at that school would be above 94, which is what she is already achieving now.

I would highly advise her against dropping, that is a really good mark considering it is four unit.

her assessment marks will NOT be her HSC mark
different schools set assessments of various difficulty
don't get frustrated about such "low" marks, what's important is the rank inside the school and the performance of the whole cohort of the school

taking the school ranking (level of competition) into account , 75% is a very good mark
