Is there any way to find out what subjects were used to calculate my ATAR? (1 Viewer)

Basically what the title says. Is there like an updated 2011 atar calculator that specifically details how much each HSC subject contributed to my 2011 ATAR?

Your ATAR notice will say what units were counted.

Really? is this notice on the same web page where you view your ATAR result? I never got emailed anything.
You'll get a piece of paper, iirc - that'll say what units counted. Along with your ATAR.

ohk, so there's no way to find this info out atm online. But tomorrow a letter comes.

EDIT: From the UAC website,

"Which courses count towards my ATAR?

Only ATAR courses can be used in the calculation of your ATAR. Your ATAR is calculated from your aggregate of scaled marks from your ATAR courses, including two units of English and your best eight units from the remaining courses (according to the ATAR rules).

Your ATAR Advice Notice tells you which of your courses were included in the calculation of your ATAR. Just by looking at your HSC marks, it's not possible to tell which courses will be included in your ATAR. Sometimes the course with the lowest HSC mark won't count, but this is not always the case."

If they only take two units of English, and you do extension, do they just take the best two of English, or extension will count as one of the eight units?

It's 2 best units of English, so yes, extension can count as one of your units if it will scale better than your advanced mark. You can also have more than 2 units of English contribute.

They take the best 2 units of English and 8 units otherwise.

If you do 10 units, and 3u English - they'll take the best 2units of English you have, plus the other one because you have to count it.
