In short, no.

It depends on the ability of your cohort. If its a very strong cohort, it makes no difference. If its a weak cohort, then you will get the marks you deserve, which are poor marks.

That's good to know, ranked 7 / 14 in EX1 but only 4-5 marks behind the top rank.

Say runnable you seem like the UAI/HSC expert 'round here *thumbs up*

Thanks, just trying to help around here.

When I say strong cohort, I meant strong cohort in comparison to the whole state. You can be ranked 1st in your cohort but if you are in fact not quite good compared to the state, your HSC mark will not be high. Overall, the actual ability of your cohort and yourself determines your UAI. Of course the difference of marks between ranks also count when it comes to receiving your internal assessment mark.

thats good to know in a bad way lol

so seems my business services class is really full of 12 other dumb arses besides myself and another person who knows what the teacher wants in an exam from us.

Btw this class for our half yearly which we were hand fed the exam paper questions i.e. my teacher emailed past hsc papers to everyone and all they needed to do was print them out and then complete them and then sit the exam and well gee all the same questions were in the half yearly..

I topped the class with 81%

while many got band 1s
few got band threes
and a couple with a band 4

SAD isn't it that thanks to them i may be let down when i sit my externals if they dont pick up there game!:burn:

Thats not true. If you are clearly above the rest and maintain that in your externals, you are not disadvantaged at all.

one of the student represented Australia in some Geography comp and went to France and some otehr palce...however thats economics...

my physics class has 10 ppl and i ranked 9th out of 10
top 3 is like 89-93
4th is like 83 and then somewhere in the band 4s
i am in the high band 3, but my mark boosted up after receiving a band 6 for an assessment while most of the class did bad (band 3 and 4)

you're doomed, to say the least. sorry
well actually he isnt it all depends on how his class and him do in the hsc i mean if they really perform well then he will be fine. I mean they could just have hard assessments so i mean u cant really judge these things by people just saying what they got. It is necessary to have some idea of the difficultly of assessment.

so in short ur not doomed just have to hope that u and ur class perform well on hsc exam

i am sure most of the ppl in my economics class and physics class can achieve heaps good result................

but everytime we do assessments in eco and physics
we got such a large range

~~~usually class average for our economics class is like 65-70%
and physics got such a large range from ~80-90s to ~50-60s
