My attendance right now is on 80%.
I had 13 days off last semester and about 5 or 6 this term so I'm not even entirely sure if that's 80%
I just keep getting called to the principal because of my low attendance.
The 13 days last semester was primarily due to the surgery I had to have and its been giving me pain constantly hence why I occasionally take days off.

I've been told you need a minimum attendance of 85% to move onto year 12. Yet can there be an exception?
I'm top 10 in currently all my subjects with 2 first rankings. Would they really make me repeat because of my attendance alone?

It's going to be real shitty if I have to repeat. :alone:

I'm sure if you explain your situation with surgery and everything they won't mind, especially because you seem to keep up with the work

Your attendance is closer to 90% at the minute, assuming three average terms of ten weeks.

Ehh, should be fine cause it's surgery.

Speak to your year adviser regarding this issue, he/she should be able to help. I know some people who are at like 60% attendance (like literally) and nothing's happened to them as of yet..

I'm fairly sure the 80% refers mostly to unexplained abscences eg being late all the time or taking days off without getting a note in from parents. As long as you have a medical certificate/note from your parents detailing the surgery, you should be fine.
