i wouldn't be suprised that my class will go from 25 to under 10 next year.. everyone hates then throught of handing in projects.. except my group (ppl think ipt is a bludge).. well actually it is.. but it doesn't give anyone a reason to not complete an assessment task..

we had 6 people in our class and 3 of us got over 90 in last years hsc and our success was all due to our own initiative in memorising the set text. Our teacher was a hag and the only input she had at all was reading from the text to us before telling us to do the exercises at the end of each section. So yeah its really nothing to do with info processes I reckon... its very business related and therefore just a bunch of theoretical definitions that need memorising a day before the exam. Anyone else find this?

Yeah i agree.. i'd have to say... our teacher is probably the worst
He comes to class minimum 15 minutes late, takes 10 minutes to do the roll then to top it off... "ill photocopy some stuff" and comes back another 20 minutes later.. leaving him a total of.... 10 minutes teaching!

i just read the book and familiarise with the type of questions and yes, a bunch of definitions and you should be fine

as for class size im 1/24 i think? cept i wouldn't count a few... some of them r clueless

IPT is dead boring. But it is a relatively easy subject. 23 people in my class, the majority failed the trial, Im one of the few actually passed. My rank is 3/21 (2 other people are doing life skills course). It is not hard at all, just memorising (some of the theory is common sense anyway). Although when it comes to exams, those scenarios can get hard, but it is still relatively easy.

Our class is a joke. We come to class, the teacher writes what we have to do on the board. We then do our work on the computer. But only 5 out of 23 that actually do the work. Others go on the internet all lesson. Those 5 people will also go on the net by first half of the lesson. The teacher doesn't care, except when he is talking, monitor off.

IPT is boring yes, but it's so easy. I seriously reckon you could do no work for the majority of the year and still get mid 80's for your mark. Provided you attended classes of course. Night before study is all you need.

i think the only reason that everyone hates IPT is that there is a lack of COMPETENT teachers to specialise in the subject... >< the teachers we have now are just substitute teachers or teachers that have interest in the computing field... these lameasses fail to make the subject interesting enough for us to say in... =___= still... it's an easy subject to fly in if you're comp-orientated... which is most people these days

yeaaa you go for it gem-max >< we need mroe IT teachers like our IT teacher... i remember the first day he walks into the class back in year 11 with these whole pile of photocopied notes for our first module for IT. He talked and talked about IT stuff for the whole double period and when it was time to go, one of us asks "sir, aren't you gonna hand out those IT notes?"

Teacher: "whadaya mean? you don't need these, they're all useless. i never teach off these. they suck."

IPT is fun kahahahahahahahaha okai that was a lie

though compared to other subjects IPT is really not that much, considering only facts and basic knowldge in most of the topics, I think if you know things about a computer you'll get 50% straight away

IPT is easy. Can be a bit boring, yes. But it's easy. For some reason I really struggled with SDD but just breezed through IPT. (same teacher too)
