I've started doing my IPT summaries/study notes, and was a bit confused about what "Conversion of Data for the new system" is. Its under the "Project Management" topic, and my mind tells me its the same thing as data transmission (simplex, duplex, etc.), but my peers seem to have a different idea. I've looked at Mr. Brightside's notes, but all thats under the subheading is an ellipsis.

Any help would be appreciated!

For the conversion of data for the new system I think you're talking about phased, parallel, direct, and pilot. Am I right?

yep the conversion of data is all about the transfer from an old system to another using one of the conversion/implementation methods - direct, parallel, phased or pilot! Simplex and Duplex are data transmission methods!

Implementation methods are about how you change over to a new system or platform (eg if you were migrating from a Windows to a Mac!)

Transmission methods are how data is communicated over a medium (eg is it one-directional data flow of bits or bi-directional)
