Hey guys :wave:, does anyone know what universities call for interviews first? or what not?

they wuld all be pretty much straight after umat result come out so like early october...i remember last year a friend got hers the day after marks got released

ive heard that unsw invites people to attend interviews in november or somewhere around that time, im not sure though :S

they all come out at roughly the same time. UNSW used to release theirs before the umat results are released, but they are changing it this year.
interviews for monash, uncle, uadel (dent and med), unsw (for HSC students) and uws all come out a week or two after the umat results are released. unsw and uwa release their interviews for interstaters in early january iirc.
griffith dent come in late october. not sure about JCU or CSU. griffith also have interviews for provisional medicine, but the interviews have already finished or the applications are closed. cant remember.

Does anyone know how UNSW work with non-standards and GPA?

How can they base off full year results?

i cant be 100% sure, but they look at ur ATAR(or equivalent) and ur GPA and weight it 50-50. with the GPA, they just look at ur currenty GPA and by the time it comes to giving out offers (january), they would already have ur full year results. but the interview is bascially based on the GPA you have currently if that makes sense. similar to how they base it on a prediction for yr 12 students.

Does anyone know when UMAT results come out this year or roughly when offers can be expected for Monash med?

umat comes out late september 25th-30th usually. monash give out offers for the interview in early october which are conducted from the 1st to around the 20th (rough estimate) for domestic students. its a week or so earlier for internationals. offers of places come via VTAC in january.
