hav u done it? how did it go?
it was meant go from 9-9:45, but I was in there until 10:25, so I knew it went well, especially considering how much effort and time he took answering my questions.

I got a call about 3 hours after the interview saying I'm through to the final round :D Yay. Apparently there's less than ten candidates they selected for the final round, so I'm very excited. So close to getting my dream job (and I mean dream literally, as I have been dreaming about it for ages).

The final round will be next week. Can't wait.

Re: internships 07

thanks dude :) interview is now on Monday at 11:00am. One of the people interviewing me is their Director of Marketing (for the whole of P&G Australia)! Would be a good person to impress, but also a bad person to screw up in front of.

woah, the length's to get this job are ridiculous.

with their thorough examination of you it sounds like you'll be in charge of like a division or something after you start

Re: internships 07

yep, they put you in charge of a brand for the internship. I may have to launch a new product

Re: internships 07

on a straight-salary basis, no, but P&G pay for:
Return airfares to and from singapore (possibly business class)
Apartment in best area of Singapore for 2 months
Clothing allowance to buy more suits
Food allowance, for food consumed whilst at work

So, overall, P&G's package seems much better

just the apartment allowance would worths thousands...same with airfare. so looks like they actually pay alot more on non salary rewards.

yeah, rent in singapore is quite expensive. they will be paying a lot in salary rewards after finishing the two years of grad-level work with them.

Wow, that's awesome!

I still can't fathom how they didn't think to mention this to candidates (even just in the later rounds) as it's a pretty big difference from thinking you'll be interning in Sydney, but actually going to S'pore.

Not that I wouldve minded (if they'd given warning..), it's a really good opportunity to spend some time over there and work in probably one of the best environments marketing wise

Re: internships 07

apparently there are also internships for marketing in sydney that they created this year. but i wouldnt really want the sydney ones, as I'd need to travel for 1.5 hours to get there each morning.

I actually mentioned your case when they were asking me for feedback on the recruitment process. The process really has had big flaws this year.

Actually it's the same for me, it's taken me that long everytime Ive been there in the past. It made me less interested in pursuing it too..

Oh that's interesting! I'm glad to know you were able to give them feedback. You say there were big flaws this year- I'm guessing you're speaking from your own reckoning, not from what they've actually mentioned?

yep - some examples include:
1) they sent out the SDS sheets, with a due date on the same day. I panicked and called up. Turns out that was a mistake.
2) They sent out an apology email for this, and signed it as 'HR Reruitmten'
3) General grammatical mistakes were present in numerous emails
4) They kept saying that I would receive notification of later rounds on a certain day, but they would keep delaying it (SDS results came to me two weeks later).
5) I received an internship interview offer for HR, which I withdrew from ages ago (and the website even said withdrawn).

Hopefully the provision of feedback will help them iron out those problems in the future
