yes they have laptop cards

http://www.iburst.com.au/site/index.php
http://www.unwired.com.au/index.php

current coverage is only around sydney and centre/north parts of wollongong

no, exetel don't offer shaped plans

EDIT: acctually they don't have laptop cards, i was sure i saw them before....
they offer usb modems with batterys

and the plans are still a little steep, but you do get convenience

EDIT2: iBurst do, but unwired doesn't

whats the iburst website? so unwired broadband we can take broadband anywhere in sydney? say if i had a laptop and had that modem thing with me everywhere

with exetel they charge you $3 for each extra gig downloaded.. is it possible to get it shaped instead?
iBurst the company itself, dont offer the wireless broadband service retail.

You have to join through its partners like Ozemail.

hmmm.... dial-up does seem to be the minority.

and no one on wireless? i'd chose wireless over ADSL simply due to the convienience of
being able to access the net almost anywhere.
i think Unwired and iBurst are only slightly more expensive than ADSL
Yeah, but have you seen the ratings for wireless broadband? its not so good, and the start up costs for the modem etc. are more expensiver than ADSL. So why go wireless? :p

I am still on my Dial-Up connection, which usually only connects at 28.8 Kbps. It is really painful. They don't offer broadband where I live:mad:.

How much do you think it would roughly cost, because there is no way that my dad would pay more than $40 per month:(.
