International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (1 Viewer)

Hi guys i'm relatively new to the forums and would like to know which Act was the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (1976) domestically enacted in...i know it was 1976 but i can't seem to find the corresponding domestic legislation. The same question goes for the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (1976)...it was enacted in 1980 in Aus. in the form of an Act i don't know what.

If people could please help me that would be great.

The ICCPR is bunged on as a schedule to the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Act 1986 - http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/cth/consol_act/hraeoca1986512/. Search for the ICESC.

So does that mean the principles within the international treaty entirely enacted within the domestic legislation even if it is simply attached to it as a schedule?
