i just looked through the unsw handbook and it seems pretty cool but a lot of these subjects (data science, actuarial, macro whatever that person said, etc) seem to come with a lot of economics, idk if you or anyone else would know but is that like extremely hard or is it kinda fine? im not the biggest fan of business-y stuff so im just wondering if i'd be able to survive it without wanting to end it all lol
Are you sure you hate economics that much? Like I went into yr 11 sorta thinking that eco was mid (don't ask me why I chose it, I wanted to do a HSIE subject to balance things out and eco was the most mathy ig), but now I love it

I'll see if I still have my Econometrics notes so you can have a look at it

Is uni maths really that much harder than adv. or ext.? Thinking of maybe doing Engineering but not sure how insane the maths gets
i would say sorta a continuation of ext 2 difficulty wise in first year and then it really ramps up after that, but also uni is a lot more lenient with a lot of stuff and you don’t need to master things completely, and you can cheese a lot of stuff.

data science shouldn’t include any economics (except for maybe unsw because their data science is super weirdly structured)

i feel like the only thing that made mx2 hard were the questions. the actual concepts weren't that hard. first year math teaches mx2 and beyond concepts but with easier questions.
