Consider, the function given to integrate is kinda like x^-2, thus the substitution is kinda like x^-1.

Ok, I'm not even convincing myself here.

Hrm, the thing that always worries me is that if I don't KNOW that there is such a substitution, I will never look for one in an exam. If I see a way to do, I just do it that way. hehe
