Does anyone have any info on Mathhias Schmidt?
Like did he actually interview Albert Speer or was he born later?
Any info and help would be much appreciated

Schmidt was born in 1952 iirc. And in regards to interviewing him, I do not think so, as opposed to Sereny. Schmidt was more renowned for being able to utilise the original documents of Wolter (and his chronicles) when building on his work, Albert Speer: The end of a myth.

sorry its a bit late, but Schmidt did interview Speer. he acutally wrote his thesis on Speer. when he interviewed Speer he was refered to Wolters, who then acutally showed him the orignal chroicles, not jsut the censored ones. so thatis why schmidt is so important, as he acutally was the first to have access to the new information.
