this is probably going to sound stupid but what exactly does "in the wild" refer to?

i know that "the wild" can have a lot of meanings eg;
natural existence or abandoning all sense of natural superiority and natural responsibility of being human, and bla bla bla but what are they looking for precisely... im freaking out because i saw a trial paper and it was something along the lines of different composers projecting different interpretations of "in the wild." It is pretty much how the humans treat and relate to nature in the texts?

Prettymuch, but focusing upon humanity's relationship with the wild, and how that relationship affects 'humanity', literally and figuratively, as in the imperialistic relation with the 'wild' in Blade Runner, with a background newspaper reading "Farming the oceans, the moon and antarctica", which incidentally, is one of Blade Runner's virtues. Much of the nature of the dystopic world itself is not mentioned overtly, thereby leaving it to the responders imagination and making it creepier.

I'd sum it up in a cliche' line-Our nature is shaped by our environment.
