how well supported is this statement in reference to bnw/bl?

refer to how the characters are affected in relation to 'in the wild' and 'nature'.
ie the characters are taken outside their comfort zones :) and exposed to 'the wild'/ lack of 'the wild' (referring back to your definitions of 'natural') and are thus altered/educated etc. the texts themselves are in a sense warnings/predictions of future issues, thus they are exposing/educating...
i dont know how much further you can go in 40 minutes, since you would have to tie all the other expected things in as well (features, values bla bla bla).
