Ok, Amber is off to the beach now with friends, for a BBQ. (Amber points dubious eyes towards the nasty looking grey sky and wonders if she should stay home.... :( but she won't for Amber is always up to a challenge - and anyway, if its rains then she'll only get wet - and what are beaches for!?)

Amber will hopefully be on tonight to catch up with all her most beeeeeautiful Important - Please Read friends.

Marcus is glad that Amber is back; and he welcomes her warmly. Marcus hopes her computer troubles end soon. :)

Marcus just finished reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix...he liked it alot, but must say that he felt it moved quite slowly.

As requested, Marcus will now post his assessment rank order...he is also unimpressed by some of his rankings, but feels alright about it overall.

15020 Ancient History 2: 5 / 30
15140 English (Advanced) 2: 3 / 68
15160 English Extension 1 1: 1 / 7
15170 English Extension 2 1: 1 / 1
15280 History Extension 1: 6 / 17
15370 Studies of Religion I 1: 2 / 27
15400 Visual Arts 2: 2 / 6

Amber thinks that Marcus' rankings are quite impressive and gives him a big congratulatory hug! *hugs all around people - feel the love*

Amber enjoys reading Harry Potter, although she hates all the stereotypes associated with it because of it's fame and notoriority. Being a Christian, Amber is sometimes shunned for openly declaring her love for Harry P! Amber thinks this is absolutely ridiculous, as they are only books... GEEZ... some people! J. K. Rowling is sooo incredibly lucky. Amber would love to make such a living one day.... it would be brilliant (and thus ties in with Amber's dreams of making the New York Times Best Sellers list :D)

Lynn wonders who requested ranks, and where she can find hers online...

Lynn is VERY happy to see a fellow gal on Important - Please Read again for idle girly chat. She would also like to ensure that all her friends do not feel bad about their ranks, as they are all really quite good. Lynn is particularly impressed by the fact that Amber and Marcus (particularly Marcus) did EE2 with so few others in their grade doing it. Lynn had a LOT of moral support during EE2 and shudders at thought of doing it alone. On the plus side, Lynn imagines that her friends may have missed out on the whole "Omg, is that only your fourth draft? ____'s done two this week already, PLUS she's onto her third journal..."

Lynn personally thinks that computers are temperamental things and eagerly awaits the day that every computer comes with a free Repair Man.

But for now, Lynn is waiting slightly more eagerly for tonight after dance when she can sleeeeep... Lynn stayed up till 4:15am this morning sewing, and had to wake up at 7am this morning to do dance rehearsals. Both Lynn's father and brother were a tad concerned. Lynn's daddy said "Drive carefully...?" and dear brother said "You look stoned."

Lynn wonders whether there are any fish in Thomas' fishbowl. Lynn had fish once. They died though. :(

Lynn is much better at keeping dogs alive :D Lynn's dogs are big, cuddly, and lazy. They are so huggable though. Did she mention that they were cuddly and keep her feet warm?

Lynn thinks that some "fanatic" Christians take it a little too far. Lynn agrees that it is really just a book...

Lynn remembered coming across something about authors quitting their day jobs the other day. It mentioned something about having three books in print and another 5 in the works with profits increasing every year. And then: "The only person I know that hasn't followed this rule is J.K. Rowling, and seeing as she was on welfare, she didn't have much to loose."

Random note. :p

Hehe thankyou very much Lynnie! Amber missed you too :D Missed everyone, really. Her sophisticated level of English communications skills decreased considerably in her absence. Uh oh - Amber is being kicked off the net, because now her brothers have decided that Amber's social life is expansively less important than their own. Amber parents are being horrible monsters and Amber is in a very disagreeable mood indeed. Rrrrrrr :(

Alan fears that Justin may fall into the same trap Jeans West made for Alan. Give an Interview, promise to call, never call.

On a lighter note, Alan's result, which is shockingly alot better than Alan had expected.

Susan stumbles in, says hi, notes that there has been approximatley 10 or so pages more than the last time she was here and sighs. Susan is tired with School Spec going into full swing tommorow, Susan has to be at Turramurra station at 6:30 in the morning. She hopes that Lynn is getting a good nights sleep :)

Susan is most impressed with Marcus and Alans rankings and posts her own. She feels they are pretty ok....

15140 English (Advanced) 2 -- 3 / 40
15160 English Extension 1 1 -- 3 / 8
15170 English Extension 2 1 -- 1 / 5
15270 Modern History 2 -- 6 / 15
15280 History Extension 1 -- 3 / 10

Marcus agrees, but must admit that he is quite worried about his UAI. He really wants to get over 90, but is not sure if he will. He is hoping for 94, so that he can get into his Advanced Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Language courses...He is afraid of getting something like 84 or 86

Alan also desires to get into Advance Bachelor of Arts, but will quite happily accept standard Arts.

Point: If Marcus attains a UAI of 84 or 86, what does that mean for Alan!? *Panic!

Marcus reassures Alan that his ranks are also relative to the performance of his peers; and that there are thus going to be irreconcilable descrepencies between Marcus and Alan's ranks, without the solidification of assesment marks and moderation. Marcus therefore urges Alan not to panic. Alan may well do better than Marcus.

Alan points to Justin. "Are YOU?"

Justin doubts they will, and if they do he will follow it up himself.

Justin is certainly not scared, however he is a bit worried that he will not get the UAI required for the Writing and Contemporary Cultures course at UTS.

Justin will provide his rankings, however they are not as good as everyone else's.

15020 - Ancient History - 2 - 10 / 30
15140 - English (Advanced) - 2 - 12 / 110
15160 - English Extension 1 - 1 - 3 / 17
15170 - English Extension 2 - 1 - 4 / 13
15210 - Information Processes and Technology - 2 - 3 / 18
15240 - Mathematics - 2 - 7 / 60
15350 - Society and Culture - 2 - 1 / 18

On a sadder note, Justin's pups are going to their homes tonight. He doesn't know how he'll cope without them. :(

Alan assures Justin that he did quite well indeed, and that if Justin looked carefully, he actually did better than Alan. Take for example Justin's Advance English Rank. 12/110 = 0.109. And if we compare that to Alan's Rank, 3/25 = 0.12.
Now how's that for something impressive!

Justin thanks Alan for his kind offer, but declines as it just wouldn't be the same.

Justin is off to his interview now. It is actually at 12, but he feels it's better to be half an hour early than a minute late. He will return some time in the future.
