Lynn is impressed that Alan is still alive and well after swimming like a rock. She is also glad that Justin is doing lots of reading, as reading is both very good for the mind ("Rading to the brain is like running to the body") and very enjoyable.

Lynn agrees wholeheartedly. On really bad days, she'll read anything - random restaurant menus, REALLY BAD magazine articles, those weird advertisements on the side of the train platform...

Reading any kind of text is good. Even 'poorly' composed texts can be benificial.

Besides, Alan enjoys reaidng bad magazine articles and Advertisments. Both for different reasons.

Hmm. Lynn thinks that they are good for fulfilling short-term reading cravings, but she - like probably all reading addicts - is on a constant quest for undiscovered really really really good books.

Alan must bid all farewell. He must attend a dinner with his Father and his wife. *Sigh.

He will see all soon, nights.

Justin hopes Alan enjoys himself, though his sigh makes it seem like he is not greatly anticipating the evening.

Justin doesn't like reading crap. He'll read a novel or something enjoyable, or he will read nothing at all.

Lynn also feels sorry for Alan - so many depressing nights in a row! How depressing.

Lynn hopes tommorrow is better!

Justin says that tomorrow being better isn't likely, as tomorrow is a Monday. But then again, it's a Monday where former HSC students don't have to go to school.

Indeed.

Lynn is not looking forward to tommorrow. For that matter, Lynn is not even looking forward to tonight. Lynn has to finish off her alterations - easy going - but like finishing EE2 major work, simply does not want to do it even though she wants it to be over. And tommorrow, Lynn must try to sign out with a lack of Hamlet. Lynn thinks she will have to pay a fine. :(

Justin will not ask what happened to Hamlet, as he figures that if Lynn knew, she would have it.

Lynn is dying to ask someone where her Hamlet could be, but unfortunately as even she has no idea...

There is the very small possiblity that Lynn already returned it due to fact that Lynn knew she was absolutely screwed for Transformations and didn't bother trying to read over it anymore, but... Lynn cannot be sure until tommorrow. Lynn hates the suspense.

*sigh*

Justin states that suspense is a very important technique for creating atmosphere, and states that both short sentences and long, flowing sentences can be used to create suspense. :)

Justin can feel Lynn's fear... or at least read it.
Lynn's faith in her writing ability is restored. Even if it was the lamest attempt at a "long and flowy" sentence ever.

Lynn wants to crawl onto the highest rock of the highest mountain of a deserted, rocky desert in which nothing but swift silvers of wind and echoes roam. From there, Lynn wants to scream, the sound carrying like the keening screech of an eagle, going on forever but reaching no-one.

Justin thinks that it would be a very isolated scream, however he reccomends outer space. "In space, no one can hear you scream."

Lynn thinks idea of screaming where no-one can hear you to be a bit obscure, but nevertheless appealling. Particularly now.

There are guests over for dinner.

Lynn shudders. She thinks that she and Alan are not going to have very good evenings.

Justin sympathises with Lynn. Justin hasn't been put in that situation that he can remember, as when his family has people over, its usually just family or close friends of the family.

Lynn just wishes to say that she may be absent on and off for the rest of tonight. :S

She hopes Justin has a good evening.
