Susan enquires whether Marcus did get round to reading Susan's MW?

Marcus apologises to Susan. He had set today aside for the reading of all Major Works - that includes Susan's and Lynn's (it would include Justin's, but he doesn't want anyone to read his :p), but it quite slipped Marcus' mind. He promises that he will have comments for both Susan and Lynn tomorrow evening.

For the record Lynn would like to clarify that she is more annoyed at author for having a careless ending rather than an unhappy one. Lynn doesn't particularly like unhappy endings, as they make her cry, but if it is a meaningful ending (no matter how happy or sad) then Lynn respects it and enjoys it.

Lynn also re-reads good books :D :D :D

She started building her "library" at the beginning of last year - it has a lot of David Eddings in it, as well as well-loved classics such as the "Katy" series and Jane Eyre. Lynn imagines that there is also more than a few Enid Blyton books.
Justin's personal library has been growing slowly. He has packed away heaps of books from his childhood, but is slowly filling shelves with more mature content. His libraray (off the top of his head) is as follows:

Assassin's Apprentice - Robin Hobb
Royal Assassin - Robin Hobb
Assassin's Quest - Robin Hobb
Ship of Magic - Robin Hobb
The Mad Ship - Robin Hobb
Ship of Destiny - Robin Hobb
Fool's Errand - Robin Hobb
The Golden Fool - Robin Hobb
Fool's Fate - Robin Hobb
Sword in the Storm - David Gemmell
Midnight Falcon - David Gemmell
Ravenheart - David Gemmell
Stormrider - David Gemmell
BattleAxe - Sara Douglass
Enchanter - Sara Douglass
StarMan - Sara Douglass
The Ancient Future - Traci Harding
An Echo in Time - Traci Harding
Masters of Reality - Traci Harding
Chronicle of Ages - Traci Harding
Tablet of Destinies - Traci Harding
The Cosmic Logos - Traci Harding
The Bourne Identity - Robert Ludlum
The Bourne Supremacy - Robert Ludlum
The Bourne Ultimatum - Robert Ludlum
The Earthsea Quartet - Ursula Le Guin
Carrie - Stephen King
'Salem's Lot - Stephen King
The Shining - Stephen King
Pet Sematary - Stephen King
It - Stephen King
The Stand - Stephen King
The Dead Zone - Stephen King
Dreamcatcher - Stephen King
Christine - Stephen King
Danse Macabre - Stephen King
Red Dragon - Thomas Harris
The Silence of the Lambs - Thomas Harris
Hannibal - Thomas Harris
Ice Station - Matthew Reilly
Harry Potter and the Philosipher's Stone - J. K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - J. K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - J. K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - J. K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Oder of the Pheonix - J. K. Rowling
The Hobbit - J. R. R. Tolkien
The Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkien
Tomorrow, When the War Began - John Marsden
The Dead of the Night - John Marsden
The Third Day the Frost - John Masden
Darkness Be My Friend - John Marsden
Burning For Revenge - John Marsden
The Night is for Hunting - John Marsden
The Other Side of Dawn - John Marsden
While I Live - John Marsden

Justin's library isn't very big at the moment, but when he gets a job he hopes this will change.

Lynn wonders whether she really wants Marcus to see her major work. She considers removing it from BOS forums. Lynn wants to hide it under a rock.

Lynn finds this amusing, and does not mind at all - she loves her conversations with "The Marcus!"

Marcus thinks that Lynn's use of the definite article gives Marcus' title a grande aura.

Lynn also thinks Justin's library is quite impressive.

She wants to know what Gemmell's books are like, as they have often been reccommended to her.

Justin wouldn't mind letting people read his work if he was in control of the copy being read. But he isn't.

Marcus is amused by Lynn's metaphor of hiding her Major Work under a rock. He would, however, like to point out that it is only natural to be sensitive about one's work. Marcus is still going through the phase where he think my Major Work is a load of crap that deserves to be flayed and quatered. Marcus reassures Lynn that his reading of her Major Work will not have a negative impact on Marcus perception of Lynn.

Justin states that the Gemmell books that he has read (the ones in his library) are extremely engaging and entertaining to read. He highly reccomends them to everyone, though he still thinks Hobb should be everyone's top priority. :D

Marcus fully and seriously understands Justin's concern. He will thus abstain from making further Justin-who-wont-let-people-read-his-Major-Work jokes. :)

Marcus is likewise impressed by the size of Justin's library. He remarks that it is, "like a literary candy store".

Justin doesn't mind. He was just clarifying. :)

Justin states (in relation to comments about his library) that what he owns personally is just a fraction of the number of books in the house. A few years ago we did a count because his brother's teacher set for homework a "How many books are in your house" question, and the result was us counting over one thousand books.

Lynn recalls how Susan turned her file into a PDF that could not be saved in any way. Lynn wonders whether this sounds like an appealling idea.

Marcus house has eight book-cases full of books. He is not sure what number that comes to. But he is indeed impressed by Justin's family book-count.

Justin has already considered the idea, but has turned it down, as there are very simple ways of saving PDF documents, such as right clicking on the link and pressing "Save Target As".

Marcus might do this with the copy of his Major Work on Bored of Studies...

EDIT: In light of Justin's post, converting to PDF would be insufficient...

Justin is likewise impressed with Marcus' book count and can see where his passion for reading comes from. As is obvious, Justin also comes from a family that enjoys reading, and his grandmother has two or three huge bookcases full of books at her place too. :D

Justin finds it sad that a lot of people don't enjoy reading, as they are missing out on what is, in his opinion, the best form of entertainment.

Susan recommends that you try:
https://createpdf.adobe.com/index.pl/1388495512.26398?BP=NS6&v=AHP

This is what Susan used. Select the highest level of security possible.

Susan addresses Lynn directly: "I mentioned earlier that if you wanted a copy of my Major Work which could be saved, PM me an e-mail address and I'll send it to you."

Susan states that she would be more than happy to do that for any of the regular members of Important - Please Read.

For Marcus, reading is one of the best forms of entertainment. He, does, however, acknowledge that some people have trouble reading, and connecting with a book the same way. Marcus realises that they can connect on that same level in other ways.

Ah... Lynn has no-where near that many books! Lynn hopes that one day she will have a spectacular library room, full of wonderful books.

Reading is indeed the best form of entertainment! The only regret Lynn has is that sometime she cannot read fast enough to keep up with the pace of the plot! Sometimes it is just SO exciting!
