On a serious note I think its also stupid to say "this uni vs that uni". A uni has a great array of courses, so if some elitist douchebag does insist on comparing, it,d be more lpgical to compare course to course rather than uni to uni.

Not really relevant to the thread. But, I highly regret rejecting my offer at UWS Comm/LAW with a $5000 scholarship. I was being ignorant and I primarily valued the prestige of the UNI (also influence from the conservative Asian parents).

I applied for a UWS Engineering scholarship, I got 20+ points above the cut off and got no scholarship.

Really? That's strange. Did you call up the scholarships unit?
All the scholarships aimed for current students are either for disadvantaged students, its great that they're getting help.
The other scholarships apparently you don't need to fill out an application form :/ its just given to a high achieving student, usually the highest achieving student in that course...the others are for people who are a part of the rotary club etc etc.

No if you enrol in an Advanced course, meeting the requirements every year. Then they grant you with $5000. The conditions of the scholarship is absurd though...

A GPA of 5.0 is pretty ABSURD!!!

Umm.. The requirements are pretty simple I think. 90 or more ATAR, 5.0 GPA and I think you must complete the semester to receive the $5000. Also enrollment in Advanced courses only (Advanced science, Advanced maths and Advanced Commerce) I am not really sure sorry.
