state sovereignty is the right and power of a nation to make its own laws without any external influence. Australia is a sovereign state.

Ironic that the United Nations state that a nation is to have its own sovereignty - and they can make laws in their own countries which no other nation has the right to interfere with....
it is the fundamental principal of international law. It recognises that nations have the right to govern themselves and to determine their own destiny. other nations or organisations have no right to interfere the internal affairs of another nation
