I have 6 months to learn key 2 unit Maths (1 Viewer)

I did general maths in year 12 and I got a band 6. This year I am enrolled in the spring session (starting in August) to study Software Engineering at UTS and within the next 6 months I would like to extend my maths skills. I have looked at bridging courses (https://www.uts.edu.au/future-students/science/essential-information/bridging-courses) however from talking to other the impression I got was it was more than a recap than education about the concepts. There are some maths courses that TAFE offer like this (https://oten.tafensw.edu.au/course/bridging-mathematics-course-tafe-plus-statement/#panel7) however I get the sense that it is not in depth enough.

I am devoted to working hard for the next 6 moths to ensure that I learn the 2 unit (and perhaps early 3 unit) concepts that are key to my course (I plan to exclude areas that involve finance, etc) and I am wondering if any one has any opinions on places where I can be taught these skills full time. I do have a tutor I plan on continuing sessions with him do you think it would be beneficial for me just to have a tutor or are there institutions which help people like me. Should I consider online courses?

So can you get your student card yet even if you're enrolled for Spring Session? If so, you can enrol into the UTS bridging course for free if you have your student card with you. Otherwise it's $300.

Generally, I would just learn the topics that you will be doing in your subjects - you don't have to learn the whole topics of 2unit. Calculus (Differential and Integral) is by far the most important, and a bit of trigonometric identities as well.

Edit: I wouldn't know too much about the TAFE course though, but I did attend the UTS bridging course years ago, (coming from a background of General Maths as well), I did find it quite helpful. However, they were very fast pace.

6 months is enough time to prepare yourself for suitable math study at UTS.

NOTE: There is a subject I remember at UTS called 'Foundation Mathematics'. It's designed for students coming with a General Maths, or students who haven't touched maths in a while. So this maybe of interest to you. You need permission however to enrol into this subject.

I think even 2U Maths is not enough. As I have pointed out many times before, @op is a case of someone, for whatever reason, has opted for General and now finds it is not good enough. In fact Maths General can end up being a cruel joke for many.
