Hey all,

Well, in studying the wonderful world of 'Conflicting Perspectives', a certain polarisation of our English class has emerged surrounding the Plath-Hughes situation. Just wondering who you sympathise with and why?

Plath, cause she reminds me of me. Smart, crazy and all the men in her life leave her.

Don't forget depression =D

I've done a Lady Lazarus myself before. Stupid doctors.

I still cant pick a side :S.
Plath because of her dependance on men and her inability to overcome her fathers' death, so it wasn't her fault she was kinda loopy.
Hughes because "he had to put up with that crazy ass bitch" lol, it would've gotten really frustrating.

It's quite hard to feel sympathetic towards someone who shoves their head inside a gas oven and kills themself. Also, i can't see how anyone could force her to take such action, if Hughes was causing her grief, she could have filed for divorce. Well that is what a sane person would have done, but we're talking Plath here.
