Re: HSC - Seminars/ Lectures

history teachers association [HTA]ones are coming up in 2weeks or so. [@ usyd]
Edassist have their usual holiday revision courses.. [the winter ones] for July..[@ usyd]

i know theres a company called 'Neap' who do a couple of seminars.. [but i'm not too sure where they run those/when.]

oh and if you're from eastern subs or anywhere near here you can 'ride the hsc wave!'... with lectures at some of the local libraries [ie paddo, waverly, bowen etc etc] [theres a thread in this forum somewhere about it..]

the latter lectures are cheap, HTA are relatively cheap [25 dollars for a few lectures on the day] and the edassist can be pricey for what you actually get...

hope that helps:)

just try googling..;)

The Neap ones are done at Uni of Syd.

I've been to an English one and the Singleton one. My friends are going to the Coffs Ancient History one. :)

ahh...
i only went to the one day things..
i think english would be good over a long period..
but i am not so sure about the sciences..

i went tothe 2day sessions for math and i found it to be quite pathetic.
everyone is at different stages that there wasn't any one topic that everyone had all done consistently..
which meant that he rushed thru things and gave us vague formulas and said 'apply'

if i were you i'd just consider doing an intensive program at somewhere like Prior..
i think that'd be much more effective.
that said, i'm yetto go to one of the winterschool ones..

there's some study day things at the tanken centre (kirrawee high school) that you can go to. you can practice speaking and stuff there. not sure when they are though. ask your teacher about it im sure they know.
