Higher School Certificate:

1. Economics - 93/100

2. English Advanced - 87/100
3. English Extension 1 - 37/50
4. 2U Maths - 89/100
5. Maths Extension 1 - 42/50
6. Modern History - 86/100
7. Physics - 81/100

School Certificate:

Australian Geography, Civics and Citizenship - 94/100
English - 87/100
Mathematics - 89/100
Australian History, Civics and Citizenship - 84/100
Science - 82/100

Did this happen to anyone else? I know they're not exactly the same, but they pretty much are. If the SC result wasn't the same as the HSC mark it was the same as my assessment mark or exam mark for each subject at least.

It's funny because I was pleased with my SC results in 2006, but I planned on improving them a lot by HSC. lol, I didn't obviously, but I still did good.
I got 93.95 for that.

p.s. for all intensive purposes to prove my point, "Australian Geography, Civics and Citizenship" is the Economics equivalent lol

UAC Scaling Reports do indicate a correlation between SC results and HSC results, not the case with me though.

SC Maths: 72/100
GenMaths: 85/100

SC English: 90/100
AdvEnglish: 77/100

Computers: 99/100
Software: 79/100

SC Science: 88/100
Biology: 78/100

Not the case with me either, I did much better in my school ceritificate.

Edit: Rethinking it

SC maths: 81
HSC Gen: 87

SC English: 82
HSC advEng: 72

SC Science: 88
Biology: 76

SC History etc: 67
Ancient History: 68
Legal Studies: 76

So my results were similar for some, especially for history. I should not have picked that subject.

hey namu did you get 100 in SC maths as well??
by the way, how did you go in 3 unit maths??
lol

I think I got like 95-98 in sc maths? I don't remember, but it wasn't the top from my year who got 99 in yr 9 because he accelerated. BTW, I did my sc in yr 10 when all my accelrants did sc in yr 9 so i was pretty stupid initially...

I got 100 in 2 unit hsc, and 48/50 in 3 unit (could have been 49 if i didn't bomb my external..hm)

I got the same for SC Maths as my HSC 2U mark :p

I'd be soooo happy if I can score higher for English and the Sciences in the HSC than the SC, especially the Sciences but I think it'll be hard...

CLASS OF 08' HSC UAI - School Certificate 2006

hey i want to see if there is a link between success/failure in school certificate and success/failure in the hsc two years on ;)

could all those who got their HSC done this year plz post your school certificate marks (back in 2006) and your HSC marks + UAI

so we can see if there is a correlation between SC and HSC or that the myth that the SC is a bludge is true or BUSTED! :hammer:

LOL I completely failed the SC.

2006 SC
Band 4's and a band 3

2008 HSC
NSW UAI: 93.30

In year 10 I was one of the rebel kids. Always jigging, bludging, not studying at home, not paying attention. Luckily, things started to change around year 11.

Re: CLASS OF 08' HSC UAI - School Certificate 2006

well I got all mid band 5s and 81 for maths (even though I accidently left the WHOLE last section worth 20 marks out, except for the 1st mark), and a band 4 in history.

You can see my uai in my sig. SC results cannot be taken directly as an indicator of how well you are going to do in the hsc/what uai you are going to get.
