It's a video by a teacher explaining how marks are scaled. It's been posted around this site, but I thought it was really good and deserved it's own topic.

He puts a bit too much stress on the importance of rank, but overall is quite good. A high rank, whether selective or comprehensive, won't matter if your marks are crap relative to other students ranked higher than you, and especially if everyone does average in the HSC exams. It just puts you in a better position than someone ranked lower than you (which is obvious).
