My name is Sarah and I am a PhD candidate at Sydney Uni studying immunology. I have a Bachelor of Medical Science (HD wam) and Honours degree (final mark 91%). In my own academic career I received Dean's List awards for Academic Excellence, first place conference awards for presentations, and have been an invited speaker to a national immunology conference. However, I think my love of science and teaching is more important than anything else. I am currently working on SARS-CoV-2 research in the context of future pandemic prevention.

I have tutored in HSC biology for several years. I also work as a sessional academic at USYD teaching undergraduate immunology and infectious diseases. I have studied and taught each module of the HSC biology syllabus at a university level so I can put biology into context for students to be more engaged and understand why they have to learn difficult fundamental concepts.

I know the HSC can be incredibly stressful so I try to create a fun and relaxed environment for my students so they feel comfortable asking questions and giving difficult exercises a go. Whether you're looking to just understand biology better, communicate science ideas clearly, or optimise your marks, I am here to help. In addition to being able to teach the high volume and complexity of the HSC bio syllabus in a clear and manageable way, I also have MANY years experience sitting high pressure exams. I can offer invaluable study and exam techniques that can help in all subjects and make exam blocks not only less stressful but actually fun.

Please email me at innerwesttutoringco@gmail.com for all queries :)
