<a href="http://www.codecogs.com/eqnedit.php?latex=y&space;=&space;x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" target="_blank"><img src="http://latex.codecogs.com/gif.latex?y&space;=&space;x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" title="y = x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" /></a>
You have to adjust y = 3x - 1 into the form 3x - y - 1 = 0, and then use the formula. This way, a = 3, b = -1 and c = -1.hi ty, but I got my point (0,5) and then use the perp distance formula using y=3x -1 (2) like you said (therefore, a=0, b=3, c=-1) but I don't get 6/sqrt(10)?
This is the correct answer.<a href="http://www.codecogs.com/eqnedit.php?latex=y&space;=&space;x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" target="_blank"><img src="http://latex.codecogs.com/gif.latex?y&space;=&space;x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" title="y = x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" /></a>
Oh yeah I forgot +c<a href="http://www.codecogs.com/eqnedit.php?latex=y&space;=&space;x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" target="_blank"><img src="http://latex.codecogs.com/gif.latex?y&space;=&space;x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" title="y = x^{3}+3x^{2}+3" /></a>
Yep that's correct.ahhh, thank you! so for the values of a,b,c i have to get it from equation with form ax+by+c=0 not ax^2+bx+c ?
I got 72
Can someone give me their answer for iv)b), I think the answer provided is wrong
(My answers 18)
2003 and 09 are hard and 2010Is it just me or is the 2009 hsc paper a lot harder than the rest?
Neither do IDon't think that can be correct
I got 18 as well.Don't think that can be correct
7^x = e^(xln7)I found this Question in a trial paper
Integrate 7^x
never seen it before and the process is quite long, are we meant to know some simple formula or something ??
not a long process at all,I found this Question in a trial paper
Integrate 7^x
never seen it before and the process is quite long, are we meant to know some simple formula or something ??
