I am yet to figure this out - I would imagine 1 combined book for all school subjects and then seperate for TAFE and Distance Ed.

Also a folder for each subjects handouts etc.

whiteboards are pretty fun imo :p
Yes they are :) If I get one, I'd probably use it to write assignment due dates, revision goals for the day and whatever.

Another organisation technique I would use: write all my assessment marks on paper, their weightings and my rank because every year I end up doing all the calculations in my head and then I'm unsure of weightings and other people's marks.

If you don't have a whiteboard you can use mirrors. I have to full length mirrors on the front of my wardrobe and I got whiteboard markers and started writing stuff on it. It was pretty good until my mum saw it one day and rubbed off everything because she thought I was just fooling around.... maybe because half of it was just random doodles but nevertheless it was a good tactic XD

I woun't chance that on my wood closet! (I wonder why!)

But I shall buy a white board somewhere through out year 11, after I get the main books and stationary.

Get with the times and get a laptop tablet.
My experiences with using a laptop.

I spoke with my teacher before with my head of house so everyone knew what was going on.

You need self control, I got in a bad habbit of logging on facebook and twitter, I was semi busted one time.

Make sure you sit near power points or have long battery life.

Don't spend all your time formatting your stuff, I wrote my notes in markdown and then converted them when a teacher walked past but most could read it, it made note taking lots faster

Make sure you sit with people that arn't going to spend half your time looking at your screen or asking if your watching porn (my friends did that for the first week), I was warned if it became a distraction that I would be punished but my friends I sat with knew that and didn't act like idiots.

And I always had paper for doing diagrams, using ms paint doesn't cut it

Get a folder for each subject. Make sure they are really big but don't fill them all the way up so they are easy to use. Keep all your notes and exercises espesh for maths, I found it good if i was stuck to have examples of every posible question.
