You wish you were me.

*SNAP*

Also, with the 1 mark questions, most of them are very simple as long as you can see it. [E.g. 5a)i), c)i), Most of 6)b), 7a)iv)]

I was surprised that 8a)iv) was worth 2 marks. That's almost the easiest 2 marks on the paper.

OMFG, that was a depressing exam *sigh*
Don't like reading all this "oh i'm going to get 95+", I'm sitting here HOPING for 60/120, if I'm lucky 65.

I had 2 mins to do q8, i just gave up.
Did about 1/4 of q7, 1/4 of q6 and half q5.

Mhhmmmmhm

Actually, scrap my last post, i was the same as sonjay.
I finished the exam with an hour to spare, so i went over a re-wrote the entire exam as neat as i could for the markers.
No wait... i actually finished with two hours to spare! i quadrouple checked the answers and worked out every answer via two different methods
Lol just kidding, i actually finished it mentally during reading time, and it took a few minutes just to scribble down the answers.

i dunno about u guys, but this is a guess of the scaled vs raw for 05
(raw range first, then scaled)

60 = below 90
70 = 90 - 91
80 = 92 - 95
90 = 96 - 97
100+ = 98 +

what do u guys think?

thats a nice message...

and i totally agree with... people should realise that there ARE nerds here but then again, just be happy with your mark

instead, be more optimistic - 4u notes at the ready for the burn

lol.. 4u is over...3u next to kill

Some people here WILL get 113, so there's no reason to just vehemently deny them their feelings about the test. Everyone should know [for obvious reasons] that this board is full of nerds. Nearly everyone who tops the state in anything useful is a member here.

Don't feel bad when someone says they answered 113/120, odds are you're better than 1/4 in the state, which is a 2 unit maths equivalent of 90, so 4 unit was actually useful for you.

yeah, who cares if someone says they got 113 or 120 or wotever...

if u found it hard, the chances are many others found it hard too, and accordingly ur mark will get 'scaled'. i mean there are all these different factors that influence the outcome of an exam... timing, forgetting ur calculator, getting distracted by a supervisor with nice tits, blablabla...so its not like this absolute thing where u are giving an exam in a vacuum...and oh i must get above 100 otherwise i will jump off a cliff...

relax

Your estimate isn't conservative enough, pull each of those brackets down one. I.e. 80 = 90-91

yeh, depends on how everyone did in Q1-6, i think
because thats were everyone will get most of their
marks or lose most of their marks aswell...

people that succeeded in 7 and 8, i think
are in a league of their own... plus whats the chance
someone like that would make a mistake in Q1-5

Either way, there's no point saying that you'll get ..
you'll find out your real mark and UAI in a few months
You're never gonna get the paper back to
check what you did wrong anyway

absolutely agree. That was brilliantly parodied. And yes, i salute u theuidin.

And about those marks, they sound ok, i've heard from others on boredofstudies that 60/120 is e3 (what is e3 btw?) and ~70/120 is e4, which is 90.
but where do u get those marks from? Just speculation? cos i hope you're right. I'm looking at about 76/120, and hooping to sneak into e4. Just want 90.

bit of stats gathering at my school (test for trial, with 90 4u students) helped me get that

i go to a selective school, but not sure whether that affects anything
