Just to make it clear I am a rebel and extremely picky. I struggle to be productive or learn anything using during my classes these days. I copy stuff off the board like a sheep despite not understanding what I am jotting down. Most of my teachers arn't at all engaging especially my teacher for 3 Unit Maths who is dull and doesn't even respond to my enquiries during class yet can clearly hear me..

For me I just seem to go to school just for the attendance, socialising, exams and thats basically it for me. I don't understand anything they teach at school but went I go home and self-teach myself I miraculously understand. In the tests I do comparatively better than most people except in English.

Now that the HSC is coming up for me I am getting the chills and I seem to think that I am wasting all my time going to these classes and doing nothing. So how can I use my time productively and intelligently during these classes with these dull teachers?

Is there something I myself need to change?

lmao

study ahead
if your teachers are nice, ask them questions of topics you are ahead in, so you imply that you're already ahead of the entire class.
if you have enquiries and your teacher doesn't respond, ask after class if its necessary.
if you teacher doesn't give a shit, write notes of stuff you're ahead in i.e. copy textbook, and only try to listen when they start talking about a topic which you're uncomfortable with.

to avoid getting in trouble, do the sheets that you're given in class so you don't get hated by the teacher.

as long as the rest of your class stays incompetent enough that they have 100% of the teacher's attention, they won't care about you

Just self learn the content (but make sure you do it ahead of everyone), watch youtube videos, make notes, do questions, get into study groups with people you know and ask people on this forum for help whenever you need help with anything

When you get to class, don't write down any notes, wait until someone else has copied the notes and copy them after class. Pay full attention in class to do what your teacher's explaining. When she is busy explaning, you would want to refrain from writing so put your book and pen some distance away (like 50cm) and listen to them explaining

You want to reinforce what you've accelerated rather than wait for the teacher to explain to you what's going on when you are introduced to a new concept

I guess I should be already treating class time as only revision.

Anyways I am sick of these teachers and classroom environment in general. Its simply too dull and plain for me.
