there are a number of ways to get more, if you read that thoroughly.

but i have this feeling in the back of my mind its not going to have much of an effect....

also it should be worth noting, that you cant get extra atar points, merely 'bonus points'.

so you are trying to get into Advanced BBC - aka, Advanced Business Leadership>?

I'm in that program, and i was ten points below the uai. on the first round of offers, i got a place in the normal BBC program. For late and final round offers, i switched my preferences to make Advanced #1, and got a place based on those who had changed their minds.

even if you dont get the uai, just get a 5.0 (credit) average and you can transfer after one year anyway.

paying extra won't get you anywhere, they don't care that much.

Thats how I got into the ABL degree, its not terribly difficult to maintain a credit average either. After your first year speak to the course co ordinator and get the course transfer form filled out.

The UAI/ATAR score for BBC has been between 60-70(last years cut off was 72.55), bonus points are only counted if u reach a minimum uai (was 60 when i was doing my HSC, ie if u got a uai of 59 bonus ponts dont count, if you got 60 you would get bonus points). You can also get an additional 5 bonus points by getting a band 5 or 6 in business related subjects, ie economics, business studies etc. Keep in mind they wont add more then 10 bonus points. If you're well below the cut off you can apply to tafe or the UWS College and complete a diploma of business and then transfer to uni after a year. The diploma would count towards the first year of the BBC degree. If you decide to take this path through the UWS college keep in mind it wont be cheap. The link below is information about the bonus points.
