the setting's right but when you have x^2/2-x^2/4, youre left with x^2/4 instead of x^2/2
just another one of those silly errors :)

do you want d/dx[ sin2x]?

well think of it as (sinx)2 and then use chain rule

= 2*sinx*cosx

alternatively you can use product rule

d/dx[ sin2x]

= d/dx[sinx * sinx]

= sinx*cosx + cosx sinx

= 2sinxcosx
is that what you were after?

i) i answered it already.

ii) if these questions are serious and you actually need to know the answer, post in the mathematics forum not the 4u forum.

I don't recall seeing integration of sin2x in any Mathematics textbooks or study guides, I only see them in Extension 1.

sin^2(x) is the same as (sinx)^2
by function of a function rule, the derivative is:
2[sin(x)].cos(x)

oh man if you cant differentiate sin^2x then you shouldnt be doing mathematics
also to integrate sin^2x, youll need the double angle formula, and only ext 1 students do double angles
