How to I check if I have any assessment tasks due?
Also, it was my first day today and I only had one lecture for one subject, have my other classes given out work that could be due tomorrow or not until I start?

Check the subject/unit outline via Blackboard. It will tell you the due date and the tutors and lecturers will usually mention the assessment and talk about in detail two weeks before the due date.

Lecture, tutorial and seminar materials will be on Blackboard for you to view; check it for weekly tutorial activities or lab reports etc.

No. Its intro week. They generally don't set tasks due in week 2. However, if you wanted to check, you should go on blackboard and download UoS outline and read it.

There times where you may have a reading task due next week in tutorials. In this case, if your tute is on Monday, then its due on Monday. Its always good to ask a lecturer maybe during O-week to see if they have to the unit outline available so you can get a sense of what the unit expects of you.
