Before I started dying my hair I washed it nearly everyday, if only to have something about myself to be proud of was the quality of my hair. Now I can't be bothered.

Mine is long and i wash mine everyday or every second day.

Mostly every day; but if I'm having a slack day, then every 2nd day! I like having clean hair! :uhhuh:

I wonder if there's anyone out there who washes their hair like once a month or a year or something.

who has some nice dreadlocks going or organisms living in their scalp?

If I went out to the beach/swam/did sport, I always wash it without fail.

Otherwise, in summer, every 2-3 days, in winter every 3-4 days. When I'm sick, once a week.

i didnt realise how many ppl washed their hair everyday...its bad 4 ur hair especially if u r using stuff like pantene, garnier etc which are just full of detergent and strip ur hair of essential oils etc even more. if u need to wash ur hair that much u should go and buy some proper shampoo and conditioner. and when u wash, shampoo ur hair twice and condition once. shampooing once just breaks the barrier whilst the 2nd shampoo cleanses.

I used to use supermarket stuff on my hair, but I don't anymore because I colour it (may as well be using paint stripper). I really notice the difference in using salon stuff.

i just usually use supermarket shampoo because i go through shampoo and condition like crazy, but i want to try a good salon shampoo. I've used salon stuff before, but it just left my hair too knotty.
Can anyone recommend some good salon shampoos and conditioners for long hair?
