hey guys,

theres a huge selection of suits out there and heaps of different price ranges. Since i have my formal this year I will be looking to get a suit. What are the kinds of suits available and how much can i expect to pay for something decent. I would be looking for both versatility, quality and a good fit, yet i dont want to spend like $2000 on this armani suit i saw at martin place =|

2000 is pretty good for an Armani suit.

That must have been a cheaper one.

studio italia has some alright suits, and are relatively cheap. if youre looking to be working (in the future) in a workplace requiring suits, then buy it. Will cost you about $600 i think, but wait till the sales are on.

Or you could have it tailored at Man To Man or something for $300.

What are some good places for suits?

Kelly Country at Granville
Random shops down George St?
Myer/Roger David/etc?

I am thinking around $500 for suits would be ok? Need to have a look around a few place, just need some pointers. :)

(I don't think my shit Man-To-Man suit I bought for my formal will cut it anymore)

But then it wouldn't be a suit for his formal would it.

I went shopping with two of my mates. They both got a suit each, this is a jacket, pants, shirt and tie for $180. You can usually find a store that will do a deal similar to that. They got there's for Tramps.
Goodluck!

i got a wool suit for $400 at oxford 30% off...it was decent, unlike those shitty kelly country ones..you dont want synthetic you want wool.

and hiring costs about $150, so if you wear it more than 3 times your ahead plus you can wear the pants on their own.
