If you're writing a comparative essay, the two texts should be equally addressed. Assuming you're going to write this in 45 minutes exam conditions, I usually have about a page and a half (around 1200) words. So for me, one page on one text would be too much as it would outweigh the other. It depends how much you can write. Just make sure to give the texts equal analysis.
