I find it hard to do a certain number of hours a night, I find it easier to do at least 16 hours a week. Counting it like that means I can do big chuncks when in the mood or have some spare time, Which works heaps better for me.

Moderation is essential! Do what needs doing (homework/assignments/assessment preparation/understanding content) --> then study (as in revision for end of year exams).

Yeah, work in moderation. Don't just go to your study area and sit there for 4-5 hours. Try to spread it out throughout the afternoon/night in decent portions.

1-2 hrs a night max come exam time.

Any other time, none - other than note making.

Do you finish your homework in class, or do you not do it at all? (Just wondering).

I'm lucky to do 3 hours schoolwork per week at the moment and I'm going just fine (I'm looking for 95+ UAI-wise). It really depends on the person and what they think of their ability and workload.

Maths is finished in class, if I do have homework it's only 30 minutes worth max.
English i just don't do
chem/phys don't get hw much, just note making when i get home.

1 hr is dedicated to note making normally and if im bothered, math and math and math.

i find homework pretty pointless, unrequired tasks set you off better than doing tasks that evyerone is doing

An hour a day really isn't sufficient. That's Year 7-8 level.

Well, people in Year 7 who studied for selective test in Year 6 are usually used to studying everyday.
