abt 3,000... but i've been told that the reflection statement is included in the word limit... making it 4,500. is this true or are my teachers the confused ones?

the word limit is 6,000 which also includes the reflection statement. Which means u should aim for ur essay to be 4,500 and your reflection statement to be 1,500 (obviously, for those who can't count :p ) But I guess you can work around it. Say you can maybe have ur essay as 4,000 and ur reflection as 2,000. I'm pretty sure it's up to you. My teacher suggests 4,500 and 1,500, but it's only that --> a SUGGESTION.

(but a 4 unit major work under 4,000 final draft I don't think will be as successful) *shrugs* I guess it's about content and not word numbers.

I think (for me) it would be hard to write a reflection statement in 1 000 word. For the proposal the word limit was 1,500 and i wrote over 2,000 coz I just had so much to say. I got a great mark for it, but my teacher doesn't care about word limits. well, she does, but she turns her head from it 4 me.

the point to my babble is that I like the 4,500/1,500 split. lol :p

Erm, 300 words at this point?

*looks sheepish* I'm not too worried though. Or maybe this hysterical laughter is showing that I should be...

Like grk_styl, I think I'm going to go for the 4, 500/1, 500 word split.

Meh, I only started mine today. Thing is, the minute you write down one word, you've technically started, so just do that. :p Then if your teacher asks, you won't be lying.

*looks innocent*

I've done about 3000 words now :D Only about 1000 is usable thought, and it still is pretty shite.

I've now done 1600 words or thereabouts of my second draft. Of course, I never really finished the first draft.... but still

7th draft??? Ahh... I'm still on draft... counts... 1...

But I do have ~4300, I hit 4000 last night and was so impressed... it's 4300 words of junk without any theory or methodology applied yet, but still... I'll get there... eventually...
