How many units of English counts?? (1 Viewer)

Hi, I've been recently informed that if you do 11 or more units, then only 3units of English will count. Is this true? And if possible, why?

If you do more than 10 units all 4 units of English can still count.

e.g. I did twelve units overall and all four of my English units still counted. Whoever told you otherwise is a dirty liar.

2 units must be included. Then the take your best 8 units, English or not.

Ok thanks HEAPS! One last thing, if you do 4unit maths AND 4unit English, and hence will have to do 12 units altogether due to the 4 subject rule, they can still count 4 units of English provided you do better in them than your other subjects right??

Yes, they can, I believe. I don't think the marks have to be taken from four different subjects, only you have to do 4. Though feel free someone to correct me if this is wrong.

However, with MX2, remember that you don't get marks for 2U, only MX1 & MX2

This is correct as far as I'm aware.

does that mean that if you do 4u eng, and you do better in both the ext's than you do in the normal adv course, and your mark in the adv course is lower than all your other subject marks, that they wont count your adv mark?

If Eng Adv is your lowest mark, and you have twelve units and do Extension 2 English, then it won't be counted. It does happen, but it's uncommon.
