How many people did well in GAMSAT on their first try? (1 Viewer)

I've only recently decided on doing postgrad med. Unfortunately I am in my 4th semester of commerce at UNSW with a gpa around 5.2, but I'm confident I can raise that number to 5.8/6 by the end of semester 1 next year.

The bad thing is that since I've only decided so late, I can only take 1 GAMSAT exam (at march) so that I can enter into med for 2017. I know a lot of other people take 2-4 GAMSATs in their penultimate and final year to maximise their chance at getting a high GAMSAT and I sincerely wished I wasn't so braindead back then.

I've also heard that a lot of people do very poorly for their first GAMSAT since they aren't used to it. Is it to be expected I'll fuck up on my first try?

Not really, have had friends who got 65-70 on their first go. However you're almost guaranteed to do better in your second go. There's a lot more info on post-grad med on pagingdr.net try that forum.
